I wish they go after the fake companies that acts as GC boutique and also those who "bought" GC from them. (I mean not really bought, but who got GC from a company who originally never intended to work for them or never did). And of course use those numbers for LEGITIMATE cases (I hate to see those numbers go waste).

First of all - Stay away from X ( be it american/russian or whatever company)
From your post it seems like Y is a kind of better in behaviour, closer to Home
, wants to help you in GC ( FROM SCRATCH) but you dont want to pay for GC cost of 8000-9000 again ( what you wasted already ).
I'm not a legal counsel/mentor or lawyer but in mY opinion - You find a company Z which has similar criteria as Y but only additional criteria is they will bear the cost of your GC - Its not difficult to find such Z ( worst case they may ask you to sign a bond of 7-10K if you leave them 1 yr after GC) ....
After you get GC or EAD at hand you have lots of avenues open to tackle any bond that Z might have made you sign.

They agreed to sponsor my green card(just to give required paperwork) and they asked me to pay GC cost, So far I have paid $1500 for labor +$1700 advertisement + $1700 for I-140 + $3750 just now to file I-485 for me and for my spouse as dates were current to my lawyer . I have labor and I-140 approved from Company X.
I was compromising my personal life by staying away from my family and company X didn't find any client near to my home. I decided to stay at home hoping Company X will find some client near to my home. I was on a bench(no salary for a month).When I asked for a "employment letter "to file I-485 Comapny X said they can't give because they are
not paying me , I said I will resign and then you give me "future employement letter". I resiged Company X( i found company Y near to my home), in 10 days they cancelled my H1b visa without informing me, gladly I found Company Y and H1b transfer took place before they could cancel my H1b. Company X is reluctant even today to give future emplyement
letter.They are ready to do corp-to-corp, for that I have to pay them H1b tranfer cost of $3200(as my prior h1b got cancelled by company X) . I don't beleive its worth going back to them , but at the same time never wanted to lose $8650 green card cost. To join Company Y again I paid h1b transfer fee and , company Y expects me to pay Green card cost again. I am on 7th year extension. H1B quotas for 2001, 2002 and 2003 were 195000. Three times the norm. This could be the reason they quotas were not met during those years. Sure market conditions also helped.

It's very selfish of rsharma....shameful!
I've applied in EB-3 in 2006 but was unable to port my PD because I was not aware of the fact that you need an approved 140 for porting. I've changed my jobs in Dec 2006 and now applied in EB-2 in 2008 with my current company.
I don't mind waiting longer (it's been 11 years) if EB-3 folks are porting to EB-2 because they've gained the necessary experience and have every right to get their GC just like EB-2 folks. Let's not try to tear each other down.

If the options are sign or do not sign and no EAD/GC for a long long time or never, I would just sign the damn thing. This contract is way too restrictive and lawyers will find lot of loopholes. Let him go to court. If he dares to, what do you lose? $10,000? He has to spend more than that, face publicity, lose reputation among clients ( send the freaking agreement to all his clients and advertise in all awebsites) and intense scrutiny by Homeland Security and possible arrest. Just somehow document all your conversations which implicate him and be prepared.

Congratulations. Mine was also delivered on the same date, 7/27. Did you get the receipts or your Attorney? Is your case EB2?

In your analogy you are forgetting the company (USCIS) still promoted that Test Lead to Manager even though he wants all those benefits from the very first day(INA law).

Before SKIL bill there were Talent Bill and PACE act which were pending for a long time. the senate has not taken up the immigration reform debate yet. and it can be postponed forever. So how much hope is there for SKIL bill ?
Also after senate, there is a bigger hurdle, the house of representatives. Remember the Budget Reconciliation Bill was passed in Senate with the Immigration related Clauses. But was stripped off in the House. So is there any hope ?
Sorry I am being Skeptical. But apart from some media publicity, IV does'nt have brought up anything good to the Legal Immigrants community.
Have IV recieved any Positive Responses for the faxes being sent. Will the Backlog elimination Centers Improve their processing speed, and transparency of cases?
I am on H4 visa, So I am dumped. and Here is my friend who had to resign her job because her 6 yrs limit on H visa. and We are feeling depressed day by day in this UNFAIR IMMIGRATION SYSTEM. Aren't H4 spouses considered as Immigrants ?

Mr are u going mad because ur wife didn't get H1. see I too have worked with F500 & F200 companies don't think that ur wife is better then all. My consultant told me that he has a job for me but because for this market companies have freesed there recruitments. So don't get pissed and good luck for ur wiefe's visa this year.

I am intrigued by the spirited discussions we have between different categories. Most of the discussions revolves around what is best for "me" which is justified to some extent. Why don't we take a step back and ask this question, what is it that all of our trying to achieve. If the intent is to make sure I get my green card before the other person can, we shouldn't be even thinking about working together and call ourselves a community. We are just wasting our time having discussions and trying to compete among each other. No one initiative will gather steam if that becomes our intent and goal.
In my mind, we have to think of every one of us as one. Yes, there should be classifications, yes there should be qualifications, years of experience, all that in place. However I believe everyone in this community is "qualified" enough to get a green card in a "reasonable" amount of time.
Can we all work together and make that happen? Can we as a group start believing this and supporting IV?
I BELIEVE WE CAN!

My attorney just emailed me, she received receipt notices for 485, EAD and AP for both me and my wife.
My application was received on July 2nd 9:01 AM, if it matters it was signed by R Mickels
I have not seen the notices yet so I dont know what the notice dates are.

I understand the pain you are going through... but we do not want to sound pissed! Just a simple best wishes will put our message through (if done by enough people). It burns no bridges... and it can attract the media... we want to shame them not ourselves!
We dont want the morons to think we are appreciating their work. If we are not clear in our message it doesnt make sense to send the flowers. Its not going to burn any bridges in my opinion. There was no bridge in the first place :):D
