I am driving from Los Angeles to Bay Area on Friday (13th) evening to join the protest. I can accomodate 3 people to join the protest. You will have to find your own accomodation. Only those who are seriously interested in going for the Immigration Rally will be given a ride. I will be leaving from Pasadena, CA around 7 pm. Thats YOUR perception, and its totally inaccurate. When xyz had his Eb-3 140 approved, by definition he was OK'd to be immigrant. Now that date belongs to him and if he has gained sufficient expertise/skill level for him to promote to Eb-2 I-140, the transfer of dates is obvious. On the contrary he deserves to be ahead in line because he had already filed Eb-3 way ahead in advance. Calling him an unskilled, inept, or lazy proves him otherwise.
When xyz had his Eb-3 140 approved, by definition he was OK'd to be immigrant in that category with THAT date. When he files for an EB2 he is "OK'd" to be an immigrant in that category at THAT date. Does not mean he should get to be at the front of the line just because he is now eligible for an eb2 job.

It seems that the delay was cause by the USCIS itself. It should have made known to applicants where to "correctly" send the application such as if your I-140 was approved in TSC, send your application to TSC. What happened was a lot of applicants sent their application to NSC, but was transferred to TSC. This cause a big delay in Receipting.
My application was sent to the right Service Center. Therefore, I believe, this resulted to my Receipt Notices being received according to the USCIS Receipting Update.

I saw your earlier post from this thread, where you are asking if it is ok to protest without having a permit. It seems you do not have aproper permit yet.

Yeah, I know my life sucks. I have a priority date of Jan 2003. Got filed under EB3 even though did MS here... I begged and pleaded that they atleast send it on Jan 28th. For god's sake, I was qualified all the way since June 1st. I gave all the documents necessary by June 6th itself. Well, but they had to file on 29th.
man I could swear that was me posting except my priority date is in 2004.

Not sure Why IV Core should respond when a category goes off... They are working united for all overall suffering and pain for all categories...

All checks cashed June 8th. It was sent to Nebrasks. I hardy just could read the SRC letters in back of my check. Online image in not good. I guess it has gone to Texas sercice center.

TIP: Print them you should be able to read.:) My checks cleared on the same day got the receipts yesterday. So you should be getting them today or tomorrow. I am not sure if attorney can chose whether to send it to you or not.

I think taking second/third opinion is going to help and as far as your wife Immigiration case .. I think some members mentioned about talking to Attorney .. You can also drop a email to Sheila Mutrhy and Rajive Khanna. I am sure they will come out and help...

Last year we started a major membership campaign in Colorado. People kind of agreed that IV is the appropriate platform for this crusade, and they were willing to contribute money, but only if they see required transparency in the IV organization. Members of the state chapters have so far not heard about how the contributed money is spent, and what kind of lobbying took place in Washington.
Is good to hear the cheers of "IV is our only hope", and yes in one way it is, but unless we bring required reform to IV, the status quo will maintain. That is several years since its inception : limited number of paying members, half hearted participation in various campaigns, and inactive state chapters.

Although the thread title says "Reimburse the core team" and I know that the core team will not take any money (and do not expect the memebrs to reimburse them) from the fund that we are planning on creating here...Stilll by contributing to this fund we can make sure that core does not have to bear any out of pocket personal expense in future while working on "our" goal.
Lets see how many of us are actually inetested in contributing. Once we have the number we can set a realistic goal and divide amongst ourselves.
For that I suggest we give this thread good two days to develop and check other members responses...
So here is a chance for everyone to contribute to our own goal. Lets keep this going. Who ever is interested pls reply. I will do a final count after 2 days as suggested and take it from there....

We in the core team know this and when we see the kind of contributions we get from members, we feel disappointed that our efforts are not valued. When we started the $20 contributions people felt $20 was too high and wanted $10 per month or less. The kind of work and effort that is needed to push a single provision is phenomenal and needs lot of capital. The more the better. Sometimes reading posts that say IV core is selfish also disappoints us. People do not know the effort that goes in getting anything done. This website is simply a tool for us to communicate to everyone. The big effort is the lobbying work. It would be great if we kept this thread for receipt issues only but..
Please read the Ombudsmans 2007 report pgs 17-21. These are not real processing times.
BTW, I can't believe there are *still* people on this forum who haven't read this report -- it spells out absolutely everything that is going on/wrong with all our greencards, and you can't be bothered to read it?? :cool:
