Where the hell all these guys when EB3 is getting 80K to 100K of total 140K visas all these years and EB2 is getting just merely 10%-15%. Nobody from EB2 didn't felt jealous like this before. It is hard to digest for them now.
So what were your expectations from EB3-I in those past years .... to fight for EB2-I and write to USCIS saying please don,t issue GC's to us but instead use those Visas and issue it our EB2 - mates.

All the best asdcrajnet.. Both countries are equally good, we have lived in both.. so we know how to adjust..
Few points that you may need to find out before you go..
1) Apply for POI for your kid, you may have already done it. There is a restriction that you need to visit nearby police station every 180 days if your son is in India (because he is a US citizen), try to find out more about that and see what you can do to avoid it (may be get a India visa as opposed to a POI)
If you go to a police station, 100% guarantee they will ask for a bribe or make things difficult for us.
2) The school fees for non-Indian citizens is very high, because your son falls under NRI category, try to find out about it, and if possible share with us too.
Everything is good back home but there are few issues which I see are a problem,
1) Nothing moves ahead without bribery, if we need our stuff to move up the queue, say if it is land registration or getting approval for something - it will not move with bribery and any govt office related work we need to wait a lot and service is bad, unlike here in US there is no bribing and things are so streamlined and good. We can talk about ethics and moral values and not give bribe but then our need will never get fulfilled for years if we decide to go as per queue.
2) If you are in IT, the work hours are horrible, most of IT companies are outside city limits, we will end up going early in the morning and return late night (because hey we need to talk to onsite guys). If an employee leaves at 5:30 or 6 PM it means there he is not working - not sure when this culture would change there. Again most of them work on saturdays, so only sunday is a holiday, here in US i can leave work at 5 PM or 5:30 and come home and spend time with family.
3) Commute is very tough back home - too much traffic than what the roads can handle, there is traffic in US too but it is decent traffic, everyone follows rules and lane sense is there. Back home it is really horrible.
For your PD you have waited for a long time, I would suggest you wait for 1-2 more years and give it a try. We can always go back to India no one is going to stop us, but the return is not very easy. Nowadays h1b approvals and stamping has become a nightmare.
All the best in whatever decision you make. Everything is for good :)

We are collecting pledges to file a lawsuit against USICS against these random and opaque processing of GC's. Our target is to get 1000 affected people to pledge atlaset $100 each so that we can fund this lawsuit. No money being collected right now..just honest pledges.

All the posts above are good coping measures, and some are used to actually deal with depressive symptoms. However they have missed the MOST important one! You used the term clinical depression. Please if you truly feel that way seek help, and seek it now, talk to your doctor or to a councilor. Though I won't go into details, I am speaking from personal experience. Sometimes things build up so much that we slip into such a state where we go beyond sadness and frustration and move to true depression.
From a site on depression: Depression is a disorder that affects your thoughts, moods, feelings, behavior and even your physical health. People used to think it was "all in your head" and that if you really tried, you could "snap out of it" or just "get over it." But doctors now know that depression is not a weakness, and it's not something you can treat on your own. Depression is a medical disorder with a biological and chemical basis.
Sometimes a stressful life event triggers depression. Other times depression seems to occur spontaneously with no identifiable specific cause. Depression is much more than grieving or a bout of the blues.
Depression, true clinical depression, is nothing you can cure with a trip to somewhere else, or having people point out to you how much better you are off than this person or that one. I am linking one of many sites that are out there, please read it and if you really do have the symptoms do what it suggests. Or Google "Clinical Depression" (beware of sites trying to sell drugs, usually easy to tell as they tend to recommend their drug as the only solutions.):

Further to my following posting::: Just to share an Update. I got an LUD " on Jul 28 we ordered Card Production" for my EAD Renewal. Details of 1 yr or 2yrs are not known till we see the actual card.

Just for everyone's info, I received all my receipt notices(485,EAD,AP) today including for my wife and son. Applications were received at NSC on July 3rd and finally transferred to TSC because my I-140 was approved from there in Nov 2006. I saw a LUD on approved I-140 on 8/5/07. My checks were not cashed until 8/31 when my attorney last checked. My guess is that these were cashed around 1st week of sept.
One important thing I want to mention that my attorney hadn't filled in my A# from I-140 into I-485. He entered it as "None" and I was worried of any negative effect, but USCIS correctly figured it out and mentioned this no. on all my receipt notices.
However, they mixed up the nos. for my son and wife's receipts. My wife's 485 receipt has my son's A#. My attorney went ahead and contacted USCIS right away.
I hope everyone get receipts soon.
One important thing I want to mention that my attorney hadn't filled in my A# from I-140 into I-485. He entered it as "None" and I was worried of any negative effect, but USCIS correctly figured it out and mentioned this no. on all my receipt notices.
However, they mixed up the nos. for my son and wife's receipts. My wife's 485 receipt has my son's A#. My attorney went ahead and contacted USCIS right away.
I hope everyone get receipts soon.

They have Milked me for 2.5 yrs and still they Milk me for another 9-10 months because my 140 was sent recently and you can't use any AC21 unless 140 is approved.
3.5 Years of Milking is not sufficient for them - they want more , YOU KNOW.

its not just this employer, many f____ employers have same issue they dont want to file 485 and atleast they are trying to delay the process as much as possible. They are fearing that the employees on L visas will have an oppurtunity to switch company if they get their GCs sooner.
