The list is never ending brother...CHEATING PPL OF THEIR HARD EARNED TAX MONEY IS THE CHEATERS' CULTURE and GETTING CHEATED BY SUCH CHEATERS IS THE COMMON MAN's CULTURE.
Ofcourse, there's corruption and sickos everywhere. But relatively what is better??? When u have an option what do u want to embrace???
Just speaking 100 languages and celebrating 100 festivals and females not mingling with males thus keeping away from social life etc...is not culture. Ur every day news is culture as well. Wake up to reality and make the choice when u have the liberty to make it.

I couldn't have agreed with you more...When I meet people and they say Indian Culture is great, India is Gr8, the life here is boring and kind of nonsense I don't understand Y they are here of course for better life and money. Then Y keep on complaining about the things in life..no body is holding back others to stay here.

@least here I don't need to bribe of simple things like getting my DL license, House registration, Going and meeting a senator, legislative. I don't need to explain to 10 people around my house if I go out and come home late night. These are just a few... I'm 100% sure I would not spend as much as time I spend with my family now excluding the weekends. I can't imagine going early in the morning at 7.00 and coming back home at 9.00 PM watch TV, eat and get to bed. On top of that go to work on weekends deal with relatives, neighbors, colleagues etc etc. Of course How can I forget the CASTE SYSTEM which is becoming as some people call the nation has developed. I cannot imagine my kids growing i the environment where CASTE SYSTEM is so prevalent.
Well that is me and everybody have their own opinions. And good luck to all you want to move or stay.

Please don't get me started now. Almost everyone on this forum lurks because of self interest. If one has to do public service , I would join a organization like CRY etc.
Regarding yourself, you lurk on this forum to show you are better than others now that you have your "citizenship". I doubt you have contributed even a single cent to the cause or written any letter or contacted any lawmaker. And I don't blame you because you have no reason to do that.

Oh really!! How did you come to that conclusion? Could you be kind enough to show me any of my post that remotely suggests that? BTW, I joined this forum 18 months ago and I became US citizen last week.

It may be better if you refile it now (before Aug 17). My lawyer made me refile...just because there is no receipt yet. He says by doing so you don't lose anything. If your first application is in the system at the time of opening second, it will be returned. It is very unlikely that they will cash second check. Fedex confirmation only tells that 'something' was delivered. It does not tell what was inside...

Are we sure that there are around 5-6k EB3 pending in the years 2002 and 2003. If thats true then it will take atleast 6 more years to process all the EB3's for 2002 and 2003 :(

imho coming to the US was the worst mistake of my life. it took me about 5 years to see through the lies that the system, the employers and other desis propogate regarding h1 and prospects in US.
you can't get fair treatment as long as you are on h1. that is why the others will not let you get out of h1.

Does anybody know how long one can stay out of Canada after landing? I heard some where its 2 years and some say its 3 years from the date you land.
And that time does not have to be continous. You can do cycle of 6 months in Canada 1 year outside outside and it will still count to 2 years by end of 5 years, or you can do just last 2 years of those 5 years.

You might be right. Check the response senator got from USCIS on Aug 6th. I was later approved on Aug 16th.

In reviewing the electronic records, it does appear that the contractor has placed these cases in a location where they will be pulled and sent to an officer. We are unable to request the files be moved to an Adjudications Officer because our Records Division is running an electronic sweep to pull the files with available visas. Files will be pulled through this sweep and sent to an Officer. We are generally processing about 4000 employment-based cases a month and the cases with available visas are being pulled through these sweeps.

May end i had 11 day bench but they paid in full... They are good in some aspects that's why i stayed with them for 2.5 yrs....
But signing a binding contract for an indeterminate period ( I yr after GC)
is making me worried !!

Let me answer that. I am from Fiji but I was born in India so I am stuck with rest of you and for my family going back is not an option. Fiji is very hostile to indians living there so for us it's here or nowhere. May be india is an option but we have very few distant relatives in India as both of our parents has passed away.
Though it is a big shock for me and my family, I have to get over it and think about their survival after me.
My apologies if I have given the impression as GC greedy but I can understand how difficult it is for someone to understand how is life without something you can call a "Home"

When the cases gets shuffled around the country from NSC to CSC and back, the dtabases are separate. FP notices are generated when information on different databases are alligned together.

That may be so but the number of those who choose to stay/would rather stay is overwhelming compared to those who don't ;)
I agree. Most people are risk averse & the decision to go back is a tough one. However, more people are considering that option now than ever before. And the ones that I know have gone back are pretty happy with their decision.

Point is very simple: If a person has a valid job offer then by all means go ahead and apply for H1 from any status (be it H4, F1, B or Z...) but if you don't have a proper job offer then please don't apply for the H1 visa through a body shop as you are taking away a valuable visa #, which unfortunately are very limited.
