Hi Michael, nice shots. It's easy to see that you brought the discipline and hard work of your nature work to the studio. What was your lighting setup? Flash? strobes? How many and what positions? and how did you go about metering? They're very beautiful but just a little flat. Shadows add depth and will make the flowers pop out more. How's that for a vague concept? :) But if you have the ability to reposition the light(s) you should get some very different and interesting results. adjust to taste. shadows are good in many situations. Remember you are bonded labor if you are on H1B or Work Permit. They will use you & your illegal brothers every election year and this is one of those years ..... everything is chatter until something heppens.

I'd say proceed with filing 485 for now and later you can think about porting etc.
Rather try filing it yourself and save lawyer fees ($1500 per primary applicant and $2000 for primary + dependent? geez this is a special offer?)

She can work for any company she wants... her EAD is not limited to any job/profession... So she can work for Company B or C or D
PS - My wife works for company B using AP/EAD that came as a result of my I485 done by my employer. So she should enter on AP and use EAD to work. No issues. She can always have the H1 in her back pocket for back up... I would consult a lawyer if I were you before using the H1...
She can not get an H4 though... thats seen as abandoning your AOS status...

there were about 320K applications (likely primary applications). Remember that July fiasco only affected EB (not family based).

Recently, I was in the similar situation but with H4 dependents.
Here was the response from my lawyer:
"the I-94 card should reflect that date. What I would like them to do is go to their local port of entry (probably airport), to have the I-94 cards corrected. It does not need to be the same airport that they entered through."
The airport authorities easily updated the "until" date. However, they told me that the system recognizes the exit date based on the visa validity date. But safe to get it updated from your local airport.

i think ability 2 pay is fair question under AC21. what future employer will hate to do is put words like petition, labor, immigration, sponsorship, EB preference etc ...
they would just like to issue regular EVL which they are providing to other regular employees. may be salary, role, start date, and permanent nature of job thats it. is that enough for USCIS. thats the question. (they can always look up company papers, tax returns etc.)

I don't think its a good time to change jobs. There are many who are looking for a job after getting laid off. I think till the 2nd quarter of 2010 just keep your job. I may be wrong too.
the best thing is to keep a open eye all the time and whenever there is a opening in any big project with a good pay hike then move.
If you have EAD then you don't have to worry about H1B transfer.
If you like, Join the "job networking on IV" google group and you wouls find many members with your similar skillset.

Thanks for starting this. I am in same boat, i called TSC and the IO told me my case was approved on 9/4/09 and i have an LUD on 9/4/09 however online status says case pending. I asked that to the IO and she says she does not know about the online status but in there system it is approved. I did that after i received a call from an IO from local field office ( i went for Infopass last week at local office) informing that my and my wife's cases were approved on 9/4/09.
I am hoping to get the cards as have to travel to India next week. The IO in Texas advised me to get the Passport stamped.
I am in India already, both my H1B and AP expires in few weeks. Waiting for the God damn mail to reach home so my buddy can fedex to india.
How many have got the physical mails already?
